One of Pflugerville’s newest restaurants, you won’t find a better hotdog in Pflugerville than the ones at Mr. Pfrank’s. While the hot dogs here are out of this world, the restaurant has a great family-friendly ambiance. Maps line the walls, and the counter stand is modeled after a school bus. They work on a make your own basis, with 5 dollars getting you 5 toppings.

You don’t need to break the bank for some gourmet food with La Patisserie in town. Specializing in French cuisine, La Patisserie serves some truly delectable dishes. The Frittata, a European take on an omelette, is a beautiful dish and with the spices and bleu cheese sprinkled over it, one bite and you’re in heaven. For something sweet to go with your French espresso, order up the Tour Eiffel Crepe with bananas and Nutella.

Lil' Mama's Corner Cafe

104 N. Railroad Ave., Pflugerville, TX 78660

512-996-8667

Whether it’s the sweets, the entrees or the wraps, the food here is stunning. The pecan pie is about as close to grandma’s quality you’ll find outside of Thanksgiving dinner. It isn’t too sweet, and the dough and pecans are incredibly fresh. For the sandwiches, make sure you order their signature garlic mayo no matter which sandwich you choose, although regulars will tell you it goes best on their ham panini. The setting here is nothing too stellar, but the bright colors and excellent service make for a great ambiance.

Hanover's Draught Haus

108 E. Main St., Pflugerville, TX 78660

512-670-9617

Keeping in tune with the Germanic origins of Pflugerville, Hanover’s Draught Haus is a great place for drinks and live music. The food here is upscale for pub food -- even their burgers and chili are high-quality. With a volleyball court outside, a stage for music and pool tables, the Draught Haus is a great choice for a night out.

Hakata Sushi & Asian Grill

900 E. Pecan St., Pflugerville, TX 78660

512-670-2480

Hakata is Pflugerville’s premier spot for sushi. Even their traditional rolls like their California and Philly rolls are stellar. But the house specialties are the best way to go. From the Out of Control Roll with spicy shrimp and tuna to the Crazy Boy Roll with crab, green onion and the house Hakata sauce, each roll is a work of art on a plate and a journey for your taste buds. The ambiance here isn't too upscale, but the presentation of the dishes adds just the right amount of class.
